Job brief
We are looking for a Travel Agent, who is passionate about traveling. You will manage travel requirements made for business or holiday and you will provide tourism-related services and package tours on behalf of our suppliers. The goal is to keep our clients satisfied and loyal for future services.

 

Responsibilities
Plan and sell transportations, accommodations, insurance and other travel services
Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations
Provide relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events, etc) to travelers
Book transportation, make hotel reservations and collect payment/fees
Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages
Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints or refunds
Attend travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends
Enter data into our software and maintain client files
Network with tour operators
Maintain statistical and financial records
Meet profit and sales targets

 

Requirements
Proven work experience as a Travel Agent
Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems, and e-traveling
Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus
Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field. A degree is a bonus 
As long as you have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a travel consultant. 

Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage

What you’ll be doing

Act as the main point of contact for the CEO & Founder as a professional and approachable representative
Carry out full administrative duties on behalf of the CEO & Founder including (but not limited to):
Diary and inbox management, working closely with the Business Operations team to coordinate schedules
Arranging and scheduling travel and accommodation requests
Liaising with internal and external clients, suppliers and members of staff
Organising internal and external meetings, including meeting and greeting visitors
Setting meeting agendas, attending meetings with the CEO & Founder and actioning following up points when required
Providing all information necessary to the CEO & Founder to ensure he is fully equipped and well-resourced to attend meetings and manage commitments
Intercepting incoming calls, mail and visitors determining their priority and re-directing them when appropriate
Establishing and maintaining an efficient and confidential filing and retrieval system for all documents relevant to the CEO & Founder
Delegating and coordinating projects and tasks as requested by the CEO & Founder
Providing ad-hoc support in other areas as and when needed
React quickly to unanticipated changes in priority and communicating with those affected in a timely manner
Establish relationships and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a clear line of communication


What do you need to have done before

PA or office support experience within a fast-paced environment, ideally within the media, marketing and advertising industry
Experience having liaised with a mixture of senior, mid and junior internal and external stakeholders
Legal knowledge is a bonus 
Experience in Canva and ZOHO is a bonus
