About the Event

About the Spanish Grand Prix Circuit

With its long straights, the serpentine curve in the road and elevation changes, this is an exciting track to witness and has famously played host to the Olympic race of 1992. A combination of the fantastic tracks visibility and seasonally warm weather makes this one of the most popular F1 events on the calendar.

The Spanish Grand Prix is one of the oldest in the world, beginning as a production car race in 1913. F1 teams have been racing at its current location, the Circuit de Catalunya since 1991. The location’s mix of high and low-speed corners, gritty track and low and high winds make it a physically and mechanically demanding race that is thrilling to watch! For spectators Turn 1, or Elf corner, is among the best places to view the action - it is one of the track's few overtaking opportunities! For the drivers it is the final two turns, known collectively as New Holland, which provide one of the biggest challenges of the season. A fast exit is essential in order to maximise speed down the start-finish straight into Elf.

Hospitality at the Spanish Grand Prix

Barcelona is rich in architecture and heritage and has everything from smart shops to colourful markets, an endless selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Guests enjoy the best of the lively atmosphere, snacking on gourmet tapas in settings of exceptional comfort around the course.
