About the Event

Join us for the Australian Open Tennis 2024, a sporting spectacle like no other, taking place from January 15th to January 28th in the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia. This event marks the 109th edition of the prestigious Australian Open, one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, and it promises to be an unforgettable experience for tennis enthusiasts and fans worldwide.

Hosted at the iconic Rod Laver Arena, the Australian Open is renowned for its thrilling matches, intense competition, and electrifying atmosphere. This tournament traditionally kicks off the tennis calendar each year, bringing together top-ranked players from around the globe to vie for glory.

Exciting news for the 2024 edition: Tournament organizers have decided to extend the event's duration from 14 days to 15, making it a historic milestone for the Australian Open. This change is aimed at minimizing late-night finishes and ensuring a fair and equitable schedule for both players and fans. The decision to add an extra day allows for the first round to be spread over three days instead of two, offering fans an additional day of world-class tennis, entertainment, delectable food, and family fun.

Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley expressed the tournament's commitment to delivering a superior experience, saying, "Every year, our team works hard to bring fans an event that feels new and exciting, and this is another opportunity to grow what is already the biggest annual sporting event in the world in January."

With this extension, the tournament will feature an increased number of sessions, rising from 47 to 52 across the three arenas. While night sessions will remain unchanged, with at least two matches, the daytime schedule on the Rod Laver Arena and the Margaret Court Arena will now include at least two matches as well.

Don't miss the chance to witness the world's top tennis talent in action, including defending champions Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka, as they compete for tennis supremacy in the 2024 Australian Open. As we look forward to this 15-day extravaganza, we anticipate more incredible moments and memorable matches that will further solidify the Australian Open's reputation as the pinnacle of tennis tournaments.
